In einem historischen Text findet sich der Nachweis für das unehliche Kind der Regentin.
“Another German nobleman settled in the beginning of the 19th century in Peru: Clemens Anton Freiherr von Althaus. He was the illegitimate son of the countess regent of Schaumburg-Lippe and Clement August von Kaas. He was first an officer in the army of the kingdom of Hanover and moved to Peru in 1820. In Arequipa he married in 1826 a cousin of the writer Flora Tristan. Their descendants still live in Peru.”

In Peru he is known as general Clemente de Althaus. He was an extraordinary engineer and catographer, and thus, through endless travel through Peru s very difficult geography (deserts; very high altitudes in the Andes montains, and also Amazonian jungles, he made the most complete map of Peru, Bolivia and part of Ecuador. A large part of this map is lost, except for two regional maps existing in the Archive of Peru s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. If somebody knows about nay part of these maps which might be in Foreign libraries or collections, please let me know.
